What We Offer
Storybikes offers guided bicycle tours in Edinburgh and further afield in Scotland and Northern England. Choose between a half-day or day-tour of Edinburgh, and week-long tours in Scotland or along Hadrian's Wall.
Regular half-day tours in Edinburgh, seeing parts of the Old Town and the New Town. Half-day or full-day tours to other parts of the city and its surrounds can be arranged. We make several stops to hear some of the history and legend of the city. Edinburgh well deserves its UNESCO World Heritage Site status, having stunning scenery, striking architecture and some fascinating history.
These tours are mainly on quiet roads and off road paths. We ride together as a group, but for people who want to make their own way at any point advice on maps and meeting points can be given. We cover around 25 miles in a day. The pace can be adjusted to suit the group. As well as pausing for stories along the way, we stop at cafes and hostelries for sustenance, snacks and drinks, ensuring nourishment for all the senses. Where no cafe is available we carry food with us. In the evening enjoy another story or two, and if you would like, join in with a story, song or poem of your own. Stories are drawn from myth, legend, humour and history.
Bespoke tours ranging from a half-day up to 5 days can be arranged.
We also offer private walking tours of Edinburgh for inviduals, families or groups. These usually last around 3 hours.
Thanks again for the lovely ride and stories, plus the history, it was one of the most varied rides I have ever been on.Marion Glasgow
