Hadrian's Wall Cycle Tours & Biking Trips

At one time the Northern outpost of the Roman empire. Later forming the Southern Marches between Scotland and England. Passing through fabulous scenery and historic towns. On this tour we follow Hadrian’s Cycleway for parts of the route (National Cycle Route 72).
We will be staying in inns and guest houses.
Stories will include those from the times of King Arthur, the Reivers, the Jacobites, and of course mention of the Romans too.
Sunday 1st - Saturday 7th August
| Day 1 | Meet in the historic city of Carlisle |
| Day 2 | Cycle out towards the Eastern end of Hadrian’s Wall at Bowness-on-Solway, and back to Carlisle (up to 26 miles) |
| Day 3 | A short ride to Brampton (14 miles), allowing for a leisurely morning in Carlisle. |
| Day 4 | Twice Brewed (18 miles, with an optional extra 5 miles and/or a walk/cycle to reach Housesteads fort and Broomlee Lough) |
| Day 5 | Wall, with a detour to Hexham (27 miles), including a visit to Chesters |
| Day 6 | Going by way of Corbridge and Dilston we complete our journey in Newburn, on the edge of Newcastle (24 miles). We can spend the evening in Newburn, or join storytellers in Newcastle |
| Day 7 | Good byes |
| Costs: £620 | Per person based on two people sharing a room, which includes 6 nights Dinner, bed and breakfast, and entrance to Housesteads and Chesters forts. A 10% discount will be offered to anyone who was also on the Galloway tour in the previous week. |
There are railway stations in Carlisle and Newcastle.
